About the role

OrbitNexa is looking for an experienced Mobile Developer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing, implementing, and maintaining React Native mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. You'll work on enterprise-scale mobile projects, collaborate with designers and backend developers, and contribute to building mobile products that users love. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including React Native 0.72+, TypeScript, offline functionality, push notifications, and real-time features.

What you'll do

  • Develop React Native 0.72+ mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
  • Build responsive, user-friendly mobile interfaces ensuring cross-platform compatibility
  • Implement offline storage using SQLite/Hive and design offline data synchronization strategies
  • Implement background sync mechanisms and handle offline/online state management
  • Integrate Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications and handle notification permissions
  • Implement notification scheduling, delivery, actions, and deep linking
  • Implement Google Maps integration for real-time tracking and location services
  • Build real-time location tracking features and implement WebSocket connections for real-time updates
  • Integrate with GraphQL APIs (AppSync) and REST APIs (API Gateway)
  • Implement API authentication, authorization, error handling, retries, and caching strategies
  • Handle token refresh, session management, and native module integration
  • Implement platform-specific features and handle native device permissions (camera, location, notifications)
  • Integrate with device hardware (barcode scanner, camera) as needed
  • Implement state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Context API) and handle app-wide state
  • Optimize app startup time, implement code splitting and lazy loading
  • Optimize image loading, caching, bundle size, rendering performance, and memory management
  • Write unit tests and integration tests using Jest and React Native Testing Library
  • Test on multiple devices and OS versions and ensure accessibility compliance
  • Write clean, maintainable TypeScript/JavaScript code following React Native best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups
  • Document components, functions, and technical decisions
  • Work closely with Backend developers on API contracts and UI/UX Designer for design implementation
  • Coordinate with QA for testing and collaborate with development teams
  • Stay updated with latest mobile development technologies and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in mobile development
  • 2+ years of experience with React Native
  • Strong proficiency in React Native 0.72+ framework
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Understanding of iOS platform, Xcode, and App Store guidelines
  • Understanding of Android platform, Android Studio, and Play Store guidelines
  • Experience with native modules integration and usage
  • Experience with offline storage: SQLite, Hive, AsyncStorage
  • Understanding of offline-first architecture and designing apps that work offline
  • Experience with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications
  • Experience with notification scheduling, local and remote notifications, and deep linking
  • Experience with Google Maps API integration and customization
  • Experience with location services: GPS, geolocation, location tracking, and real-time tracking
  • Experience with state management: Redux, Zustand, React Context API
  • Experience with state persistence: saving and restoring app state
  • Experience with GraphQL: AppSync queries, mutations, subscriptions
  • Experience with REST APIs: Fetch, axios, error handling
  • Understanding of authentication: token-based auth, OAuth flows
  • Understanding of API caching strategies
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
  • Experience with React Native CLI and Expo (if applicable)
  • Understanding of Metro bundler, Jest, and React Native Testing Library
  • Experience with ESLint, Prettier, and debugging tools (Flipper, React Native Debugger)
  • Understanding of app performance optimization, memory management, and bundle size optimization
  • Understanding of image optimization and rendering optimization
  • Proven track record of building and publishing mobile applications
  • Valid cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proactive approach to learning and staying updated with technology trends
  • Experience with healthcare/healthtech domain (preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare domain or HIPAA-compliant mobile apps (preferred)
  • Experience with offline-first mobile applications (preferred)
  • Knowledge of real-time tracking and location services (preferred)
  • Experience with push notifications at scale (preferred)
  • Experience with payment gateway integrations in mobile apps (preferred)
  • Understanding of mobile security best practices (preferred)
  • Experience with App Store and Play Store submission processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards (preferred)
